What Inspires You Each Year?

Hey Reader ,

January is the time for dreaming up new things to do, new goals, ambitions and inspirations. It is a clean slate to try something you have been yearning to do or even to get rid of something you don't want to do anymore.

I look at my list of accomplishments from last year and they don't have to be big by any means!! It could be how many total days I hiked or I finally was able to do ____ or something as simple as I got a PR at the gym on a deadlift. ANY accomplishment is more than you did before. Set goals, try something hard, try something new and I should change that...don't just TRY, actually DO the thing you want.

So what will you do this year?

How to Make Homemade Bread - TBD

How about being able to make a batch of dough to last you all week in a few easy steps! I use the artisan bread in 5 minutes a day method and you can learn this easy method in one workshop. This is a yeast bread but long fermentation helps break down the gluten.

We will go over different grains/flours to use and everyone will have an opportunity to grind wheat.

All students will make their own dough to take home and we will bake a couple loaves to eat during class.

We will also learn about the soft Sourdough loaf breads - how to feed the starters and make the dough to baking the bread. Each person will go home with a starter.

Herbal Chocolate Workshop Saturday, February 7th 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Portico Study Center in Watkinsville.

Chocolate meets herbs in this deliciously hands-on workshop! Together we’ll taste a range of chocolates and explore how herbs and mushrooms—both culinary and medicinal—can be paired to create unique, nourishing flavor experiences. Expect guided tastings, herbal insights, and plenty of sensory exploration.

You’ll also get your hands chocolatey during a creative activity where you’ll craft your own herbal chocolate to enjoy and take home.

Learn how to make herbal infused chocolate fondue, hot chocolate drinks, chocolate infused alcohol - it is all about chocolate and herbs!
